Pillows are a very big deal for me. I suffer from TMJ & find that if I sleep on my back with the proper pillow, this greatly lessens my symptoms. My TMJ disorder was so severe that after years of treatment I had surgery. The problem still exists though not as severe & I feel that things like sleeping with the proper pillow are very helpful to the health of my TM condition.
My pillow of choice for years has been a contour pillow by Life Kind. However, I am always on the prowl for something better - if there is something better I have yet to find it! When the opportunity came to try out this pillow I simply couldn't resist!
This Serta is a little heavy for a pillow, though my all natural rubber contour pillow is pretty heavy too so this wasn't an issue. The instructions say that the pillow will be at the temperature of your home & will warm to your body. I found that the pillow was too hard/firm for me. My husband and I are always looking for better pillows. We have contour pillows, feather pillows, foam pillows, body pillows, fluffy pillows, flat pillows, firm pillows, squishy pillows, big pillows, small pillows...You name it; we've got it. But neither of us has ever found the right pillow to provide long-lasting relief from neck and back pain. Some pillows provide relief for a few weeks or months, but in the end, the discomfort always returns. However, we recently tried the SERTA GEL MEMORY FOAM CLUSTER BED PILLOW. We got one, and alternated nights using it. Soon, it became a competition, seeing who could go to bed first and get the new pillow. Good natured fights ensued. And let me assure you the SERTA GEL MEMORY FOAM CLUSTER BED PILLOW is definitely worth fighting for!

These truly are firm and body-hugging pillows. I find myself using one when up in bed reading and need support against the bed frame. They are also great for using while on the side propped up or laying straight down on the bed. One of these can easily replace two or three standard fluff pillows. They don't make any noise, either.
These aren't big pillows. When the body or head is against one of these pillows, the content compresses to around three inches thick. When totally expanded, they are no more than six inches thick. For people who prefer soft pillows around their head, this may not be the pillow for them.
This pillow already comes with a washable pillow cover, keeping the polyurethane pillow from having to be washed.
There is an initial chemical smell to them for the first few days, but the smell does go away. Also, these are heavy pillows, so if you plan on... Read more
