The pillow is firm and holds its shape - this can be good or bad depending on the pitch of the seat. On smaller planes, it did make my head stick out a bit uncomfortably if I didn't position it optimally. But on longer flights, it was the right thickness for my needs.
The cover of the pillow is extremely soft - just a pleasure to use. And that it is memory foam is the reason I purchased this - I needed something to firmly support my neck weight so I can relax in any seat (window/aisle/middle)and not have to find a more comfortable position on the sides of the seat and bang my neighbor accidentally. The neck pillow's firmness allows me to sit fully upright and centered in the airline seat comfortably. I could doze off while listening to music or just watch a movie.
I've tried blow up and the less expensive bean versions of neck pillows. They never really supported my neck and I wondered what all the fuss was... Read more
